DESCRIPTION:Vespers on the Beach is a joint service of St. John’s and Union Chapel \nThursdays 6:00 – 6:30 pm (each week through August 31) \nThis quiet service of evening prayer takes place at a new site: the level concrete platform with benches and a picnic table on South Beach. Go on the road past the Transfer Station to the parking area near the water. Then turn right and walk west until you reach the second entrance on the left. \nThe Rev. Dr. Rosanna Anderson will lead this service on July 27\, August 17\, August 24\, and August 31

DESCRIPTION:Dr. Clifford Anderson will be our Guest Preacher on Sunday\, July 9. Clifford B. Anderson is Director of Digital Research at the Center of Theological Inquiry in Princeton\, NJ. He is also Chief Digital Strategist at the Vanderbilt University Library. He holds a secondary appointment as Professor of Religious Studies in the College of Arts & Science at Vanderbilt University. Among other works\, he is co-author of XQuery for Humanists (Texas A&M University Press\, 2020) and editor of Digital Humanities and Libraries and Archives in Religious Studies (De Gruyter\, 2022).  In addition to his MSLIS from the Pratt Institute\, he received his Master of Divinity from Harvard University Divinity School and Master of Theology and Ph.D. in Systematic Theology from Princeton Theological Seminary. \nDr. Anderson will preach at Beach Church at 8 am\, as well as at Union Chapel and online at 10 am\, on these biblical texts: \nPsalm 8 \nMatthew 11:16-19 \nHere is the worship bulletin for July 9th. \nWe will sing these hymns. \n“O for a Thousand Tongues to Sing” \n“Now Thank We All Our God”
