This book provides the astonishing story of how a world-renown doctor rose from poverty and relentless oppression in Gaza to become an advocate of forgiveness and peace between Palestine and Israel.

Dr. Abuelaish began the book as a beacon of hope after his own three daughters and niece were killed in January 2009 by a bomb thrown into the room where the girls were sleeping.
