INSTRUCTIONS FROM CHRIS
HOW TO RECORD AT HOME TO THE ACCOMPANIMENT:
Record yourself singing your part (soprano, alto, tenor, bass) to both songs. Choose the appropriate link below where Chris has laid down the tune and written out the words for your part. Once he receives everyone’s file, they will be edited all together to create one large choir file. Chris says, “Sing with confidence! If you are shy and don’t sing loudly, it won’t sound right.”
When you are done, send Chris Dollar the recording by December 16 to email@example.com. Please include in the file name what part it is (Soprano/Alto/etc) it will make his job easier. You should use headphones or earbuds to listen to the accompaniment and use whatever program you would like to record your voice. Macs have Garageband built in and Windows 10 should have Voice Recorder. You can also use your phone – just listen to the audio on your computer and record with a voice recorder app on your phone. Be sure to use headphones so there isn’t bleed over to the submitted recording, and don’t use an on-line voice recorder as the quality will not be good. File formats can be any audio file (MP3, AAC, WAV…)
Save 5:00 pm on December 21 for a short Zoom with Chris Dollar for the visual performance. Festive outfits or backgrounds welcome!
